Dick Clark: No Upperlands?
The many visitors who have already enjoyed our amazing Dick Clark collection have left more knowledgeable, more appreciative of his vision and skill.
Locals, especially, also comment on their sense of pride that someone from a tiny village in this small country was able to document such an important element of our shared heritage in a visually inspiring way.
There is, however, one important recurring theme in the questions that visitors ask.
It is a troubling puzzle for which our solutions remain insufficient.

Where are the Upperlands landmarks?
Why no Ardtara?
Why no Ampertaine House?
Why no Mill or Chimney?
Why no Head Office Building?
The buildings shown here all attract some official level of national protection. They are "Listed' in various grades.
Dick Clark will certainly have sensed their importance (fate, even?)
We can only wonder why this son of Upperlands did not, to our knowledge record any local structure.
A fact made all the more regrettable as many of our noteworthy, village-defining buildings have been lost, neglected or repurposed in unrecognisable forms.
